Plot

Born in Copenhagen in 1949, Tommy Seebach Mortensen—known simply as Tommy Seebach to all of Denmark—died far too young in 2003. The film received four stars from *Politiken*, *Berlingske Tidende*, and *Ekstra Bladet*, while *B.T.* gave it a perfect six. *Dagbladet Information* called it the tale of an artist trapped by the very genre he helped create, who never won the widespread acclaim he craved, ending up as a mix of national treasure and kitsch clown. *Politiken* praised it as "worthy, moving, and worth seeing," and *Ekstra Bladet* called it "a touching portrait of a man torn between music, family, and the bottle."
